Summary: In our world today many are moved to action or inaction by forces that are seen and unseen. Jesus tells us to be steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. If we allow outside influences into our lives then we will find it difficult to stand firm on the principles and plan that God has for us. The price of failing in this area will affect our entire life and the lives of those around us. So what are you allowing to move you?

Scripture: Isaiah 9:2 & Matthew 5:14-16
Summary: “A Shining City Upon a Hill,” President Ronald Reagan used this phrase on January 11, 1989 in his farewell speech to the nation. He quoted the phrase from a speech given by John F. Kennedy on January 9, 1961. President Kennedy quoted the phrase from a sermon John Winthrop preached in 1630 aboard the Arbella to the early American Christians about the country he imagined America to be. John Winthrop received the inspiration for the phrase from the fifth chapter of Matthew where the Church is described. It says, “We are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” We are the “Shining City upon the Hill.” We have always been “The Lighthouse.”

Summary: How many times have you been asked or asked someone “What time is it?” It is a great question because time is important, if you don’t believe me just ask your boss the next time you arrive late to work. Time is actually precious because we don’t know how much of it we will have. God wants us to make the most of the time He gives us and this message speaks to each of us about being wise with it.

Summary: You and I are either part of the problem or part of the Solution. It is a fine line that separates the two at times but a line none the less. God wants every believer to own their faith and join His team on the battlefield. In 1st Samuel a young man teaches us how to get off the bench and lead an army to Victory.
