Summary:  Memorial Day was first observed on May 30,1868, for the purpose of decorating the graves of those who died in the Civil War.  Now, it is a day where we remember all those who have died in wars our nation has fought. As Christians we should honor those who have given there lives for our country and we should also honor those who have given there lives for the Kingdom of God.
